Thank You

Hi Arnilynne,

Thank you for the work you've done on the Cardmaking honor. It's a great start! There are a few things we need to think about though. One is that we cannot paste copyrighted material into the wiki (though we can cite it as a reference). If you could rewrite those sections in your own words, that would be great. The other thing we need to address (though less important) is the "see these sites for directions" part in requirement 9. While that is far and away better than copy-pasting copyrighted material, it relies on a resource outside our control, and such resources do have a habit of disappearing (some call that phenomenon "link rot").

These are not not major problems, and do not take away from the great work you've done so far. But the first item does have to be addressed, or the wiki could find itself in legal trouble.

Thanks again for your work, and I really hope to see you active on the wiki in the future! --Jomegat 08:37, 27 January 2014 (EST)

Hi Jim, wasn't sure if this was where to respond.... I went in and tweaked the stuff so there are no more outside links. Hope that helps!

So happy someone has taken the time and effort to set up this Wiki....

PS: I created a fill in the blanks type of honor sheet for the kids to use and wouldn't mind sharing with others. its a word doc. want to take a look at it and see if you'd like to include that option on the wiki for folks to include their sheets they've created for kids?

Yes, this was the right place to respond. I've been thinking we should add worksheets to the wiki, but I'm not sure Word is the right format (though it might be). PDF's are more resilient to formatting, but they are not editable. We should definitely have something that anyone can edit so that people are able to fix any typos that would inevitably creep in. Maybe we should just go with Word until something else comes along. I'm going to be incredibly busy for the first two weeks of February, but after that I'll spend some time putting an infrastructure in place.
Thanks again for your contributions. This is a huge project, and it works so much better when we have multiple contributors. --Jomegat 08:22, 31 January 2014 (EST)
