Brushes & Rollers

Step 1: Using three clean plastic containers large enough to hold the tools being cleaned, fill one bucket with soap and water. Fill two other buckets with clean water. This will create a wash bucket, first rinse bucket, and a second rinse bucket.

Step 2: Place the item to be cleaned into the wash bucket.

Step 3: Using a properly protected hand, work the cleaning solution through the brush bristles/roller cover. (*TIP*: The use of a brush comb will be helpful to remove dried paint and debris from deep within the bristles.)

Step 4: Wring out excess cleaning solution by squeezing brush bristles/roller covers.

Step 5: Place item to be cleaned into the first rinse bucket.

Step 6: Repeat steps 3 and 4.

Step 7: Place item to be cleaned into the second rinse bucket.

Step 8: Repeat steps 3 and 4.

Step 9: Allow tools to dry. (*TIP*: To dry brushes and rollers quickly, use a brush spinner.)

Step 10: Place brushes and roller covers back into their protective coverings. (*TIP*: If original coverings are not available, cover by wrapping a piece of glossy magazine paper around the bristles and roller cover.)
